Why "Ramrod"

Say it slow: "Car Ramrod." Yeah, we went there. It's also a real word: a ramrod is the tool that drives the charge home, and the person who keeps a job moving.

That's the idea here. Ramrod isn't a character or a chatbot persona. It's the process in the middle that takes a question and pushes it through the right steps until there's a solid answer.

What we're doing

Ramrod is a private AI console. Each request goes to the model that fits it best. That might be Grok in the cloud or a model running on our own GPUs, and Ramrod picks up whatever tools the job needs along the way: live news and web search with cited sources, research, data lookups and the home lab.

On top of that sit bots with their own memory, scheduled routines that run checks on their own, and models we fine-tune ourselves and test side by side against their originals. Anything that changes something real waits for a human to approve it.
